We are looking for an experienced Marine Superintendent to oversee the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of our Cape-size bulk carrier fleet. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in bulk carrier operations, preferably with hands-on experience managing Cape-size vessels from a shore-based role.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure vessels comply with all statutory, class, and company safety regulations (ISM/ISPS/MLC).
Monitor and support daily vessel operations, providing guidance to Masters and Chief Engineers.
Conduct ship visits, inspections, and audits to ensure operational excellence.
Manage voyage planning, port operations, and cargo handling procedures.
Investigate incidents/accidents and implement corrective actions.
Coordinate with various departments for crewing, technical, and commercial requirements.
Prepare and manage operational budgets for assigned vessels.
Provide training, mentoring, and operational guidance to onboard officers.
Requirements:
COC as Master Mariner with prior sailing experience on bulk carriers (preferably Cape-size).
2–5 years of experience as Marine Superintendent managing bulk carriers.
Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations and industry best practices.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to travel for vessel visits and inspections.
