We are seeking a qualified QHSE Superintendent to join our team and oversee quality, health, safety, and environmental compliance for our tanker fleet. The ideal candidate will be a Master Mariner with proven sailing experience on Oil/Chemical/Product Tankers and have a strong understanding of international maritime regulations and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement, monitor, and continuously improve the company’s QHSE management systems in line with ISM, ISPS, MLC, MARPOL, SOLAS, and other statutory requirements.
Conduct vessel audits, inspections, and safety drills to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
Investigate incidents, near-misses, and non-conformities, preparing detailed reports and implementing corrective actions.
Promote a proactive safety culture through training, awareness campaigns, and crew engagement.
Liaise with classification societies, flag states, and port authorities on compliance matters.
Assist in preparing and reviewing safety management documentation and procedures.
Monitor environmental compliance and ensure adherence to pollution prevention measures.
Requirements:
Valid Master Mariner CoC with sailing experience on Tankers (Oil/Chemical/Product).
1–3 years of shore-based experience as a Master Mariner or in a QHSE-related role.
Strong knowledge of tanker operations, international safety regulations, and industry standards.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to travel for vessel visits, audits, and inspections.
