Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the safe, efficient, and compliant operations of assigned Chemical Tankers.
Ensure full compliance with ISM, ISPS, MARPOL, SOLAS, STCW, MLC, and OCIMF guidelines.
Provide guidance to Masters, Chief Officers, and crew on navigational, cargo handling, and safety matters.
Monitor vessel navigational performance, cargo operations, safety drills, and vetting inspections.
Assist in planning and execution of port calls, cargo operations, and voyage-related documentation.
Conduct internal audits, safety inspections, and risk assessments, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
Liaise with port authorities, terminals, charterers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
Participate in incident investigation and root cause analysis, and ensure lessons learned are communicated across the fleet.
Support the development and implementation of the company’s QHSE management system.
Ensure crew training, briefing, and competence in line with company and industry standards.
Provide 24/7 operational support to vessels during emergencies.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 1 year as Marine Superintendent in a reputed shipping company.
Sailing experience: At least 1–2 years as Master Mariner on Chemical Tankers (mandatory).
Strong understanding of chemical tanker cargo operations, vetting inspections, and international maritime regulations.
Knowledge of charter party requirements, CDI/SIRE vetting, and terminal safety protocols.
Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple vessels and work in a fast-paced environment.
