Location: Mumbai
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the technical operations of assigned offshore vessels (AHTS, PSVs, MPSVs, OSVs, or DP vessels).
Ensure vessels are maintained in a safe, seaworthy, and cost-effective condition at all times.
Plan, monitor, and execute maintenance, repairs, and dry-docking activities.
Review and analyze machinery performance, fuel consumption, and condition reports, providing solutions for technical issues.
Prepare and monitor annual budgets (OPEX & CAPEX), ensuring cost efficiency while meeting safety and operational requirements.
Liaise with Masters, Chief Engineers, and vessel crews to provide technical guidance and support.
Coordinate with classification societies, flag states, shipyards, and vendors for surveys, audits, and technical services.
Ensure compliance with ISM, ISPS, SOLAS, MARPOL, MLC, and offshore-specific industry standards.
Participate in incident/accident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
Support HSE initiatives and risk management programs, promoting a strong safety culture across the fleet.
Provide 24/7 emergency technical support as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 1–2 years as Technical Superintendent in offshore vessel management.
Prior sailing experience as Chief Engineer (preferably on Offshore Support Vessels/DP vessels).
Strong knowledge of DP systems, offshore operations, vessel machinery, and international regulations.
Hands-on experience with planned maintenance systems, dry dock planning, and troubleshooting.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle multiple vessels and deliver under pressure.
